Kion Aminos Vs. CreatineUpdated 4 months ago
Aminos or Creatine, What is the Difference?
Creatine and Essential Amino Acids in function are quite different, both with their own unique benefits while at the same time having benefits complimentary to each other.
Essential Amino Acids are the main building blocks of your cells, and are the amino acids responsible for promoting muscle protein synthesis - you can only build muscle when new synthesis exceeds the level of breakdown.
Creatine's primary role is in energy production, both for athletic performance and cognitive function. Creatine, while not capable of building muscle in isolation (that requires EAA's) can aid in muscle building and recovery via multiple mechanisms.
Which should I choose?
While both supplements are extremely effective in isolation, the complimentary benefits of taking both are numerous. Creatine for example, can help to signal certain pathways that promote new muscle growth, but once again, EAA's are necessary to actually create that new muscle. The synergies go on and on, therefore we recommend taking both as best practice. However, if you were to choose just one, we'd suggest reading some more information found below to determine which benefits are more important to you.
