Kion Aminos, or any plant based free-form amino acid are produced using an enzymatic fermentation process. This process naturally yields a very "sour" taste. In our mission to provide the cleanest products possible, we are unwilling to add what many other companies do in the form of artificial flavors or sweeteners such as Sucralose. 

We realize individual pallets can vary greatly, which is why we offer our Aminos Powders in 4 different varieties as well as in a flavorless Capsule format.
