What is the fat content of Kion Clean Protein?Updated 2 months ago
Whey protein is naturally low in fat due to the manner in which it is separated, leaving behind the casein proteins and many of the milk fats.
The primary difference between a whey protein isolate (such as Kion) and a whey protein concentrate comes down to the isolate being filtered multiple times more. This additional filtration helps to further remove fats and further isolates they whey from the casein.
In the case of Kion Clean Protein, our Vanilla and Unflavored varieties respectively fall below 0.5g per serving, and thus are under the FDA requirement to include fats on the nutrition label. For our Chocolate variant, we include fat at 0.5g per serving, owing primarily to organic cacao used for flavoring.
